The teaching team participates in training courses

We have started the formation of the 2022 teaching team, which happened throughout two intensive days of training with the team of new educators. We welcomed 35 new staff members and carried out activities related to the school’s main documents and to the IB programs (International Baccalaureate) – PYP (Primary Years Programme), MYP (Middle Years Programme), and DP (Diploma Programme).

After bringing together the regular team with the new one, Beacon initiated the qualification training related to bilingualism, similarities and differences between the three IB programs, team building sessions on trust, cooperation, and connection with members of each grade, as well as planning moments accompanied by the respective coordinators.

The EdTech Fest was also part of the program, bringing workshops and ideas for new apps and tools to be used by the teachers when carrying out proposals and activities with the students during the classes.

Another important event was the meeting that took place with the English, Spanish, Science, Portuguese, and Math area leaders, contributing to meaningful discussions and reflections upon everybody’s  expectations for the year.

A lot of time was also dedicated to prepare the classrooms, organize the materials, and decorate the school murals to welcome our students in a very lovely way.
