Open Day – Upcoming Events

The admission process begins with the participation of parents or guardians in the Open Day, Beacon’s presentation meeting. Attendance is essential for families to learn about our mission, values, team, and the academic program of the relevant grade level, as well as to take a tour of the campus.

Early Childhood Education (G1 to G4)

• February 11 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Early Childhood Education (G6 ) Elementary School – (Y1 to Y5)

• March 12 – 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 am.

Elementary School (Y6 to Y9) & High School (Y10 to Y12)

• March 26 – 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 am.

Age Range by Grade

Beacon follows the grade cutoff as of March 31.

Transferred students will be placed according to their academic history.

High School Scholarship Program

Beacon School’s High School program is dedicated to empowering adolescents to make choices, offering multiple opportunities for civic engagement, and providing a challenging academic program.

Criteria – Beacon High School Scholar Program

Dear Applicant,

Welcome to the selection process for new scholarship students entering Year 10 (1st year of High School) at Beacon School. Please carefully review the criteria below.

ELIGIBILITY, ENROLLMENT, AND GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. Eligibility: The Scholarship Program is open to academically high-potential candidates entering Year 10.
2. Application Requirements: To be eligible for a Full or Partial Scholarship, the candidate must complete both the Beacon Admission Application and the Scholarship Program Application Form.
3. Admission Performance: The candidate must demonstrate excellent performance in our admission process, which includes exams in Portuguese, Mathematics, English, and General Knowledge, and an interview with the school administration.
4. Additional Documents: Beacon School may request additional documents deemed necessary for a thorough evaluation of the candidate.
5. Special Needs: If the candidate requires special accommodations for the evaluation, the guardians must inform us of the necessary adaptations via email at admissao@beaconschool.com.br.
6. Scholarship Determination: The decision regarding the scholarship amount will depend on the candidate’s merit and the family’s financial condition, based on the documents and interviews requested by the school.
7. Confidentiality: There will be no disclosure of “grades,” “scores,” or “ranking.”
8. Enrollment Process: Upon the announcement of results, successful candidates will be instructed to complete the online enrollment process at Beacon.
9. Validity: The scholarship selection process described in this document is only valid for enrollment in the academic year specified.
10. Scholarship Renewal: The scholarship must be renewed annually based on criteria established in the contract with the school.
11. Communication: All communications between Beacon School and the candidates’ guardians will be conducted via email, phone, and instant messaging applications and will remain confidential.
12. Media Consent: Participants in the Scholarship Selection Process may be photographed and filmed for program purposes, and consent to the use of their image by Beacon School.
13. False Information: If Beacon becomes aware that any information provided during the Scholarship Selection Process is false, the school reserves the right to cancel the awarded scholarship.
14. Policy Changes: Beacon maintains the autonomy to implement its scholarship admissions policy and reserves the right to make any necessary changes.

Acceptance of Terms: By enrolling the candidate in the scholarship selection process for the 2024 academic year, the guardian affirms that they understand and accept the terms outlined in this document.

The Admission Process and Our Jatobá Program

In our admission process, we seek families committed to their responsibilities to the community and the transformation of society around them. We believe that living in a diverse environment enriches individual development, broadens perspectives, and fosters empathy, while enhancing both individual and collective learning. The diversity among families, students, teachers, and staff defines a Beacon community that celebrates and learns from differences. Therefore, we aim to create a group of children and young people from various nationalities, religions, races, and social and economic backgrounds.

Through our Jatobá Program, we provide quality education to talented and determined students from public schools, aiming to offer them new development opportunities, enrich the Beacon school community, and increase group diversity. The funding for this program comes from donations made by Beacon families and subsidies provided by the school itself. The program has grown over the years, and our goal is to increasingly impact the lives of the children and young people, as well as their families, who benefit from and support the initiative.

We invite new Beacon families to support this initiative. Financial contributions are crucial to expanding school diversity and fulfilling our social responsibility. We encourage new students to contribute to the scholarship fund directly through the Beacon Institute, with a suggested amount of R$2,000 to R$5,000. This will help us increase the scholarships we offer.
