Beacon was very pleased to invite families from G1 to Y12 to the meeting to celebrate the Opening of the 2023 School Year. At this meeting, the pedagogical highlights of the year were presented, as well as, at first hand, the architectural project for the Campus expansion and the construction phasing. Reinforcing the commitment to diversity and inclusion, the proposal about the launch of the Beacon Institute was shared with the public present, as well as the agendas and actions on behalf of the theme.
The “Campus+” expansion project not only accompanies the unit’s growth, but also the school’s first graduating class, which ends its cycle and graduates in 2023. The expansion is, above all, in the experiences offered to the students. Besides the new green areas for coexistence, the creation of sports spaces and technology, and science hubs enable a balanced and organic learning. The Design and Art Labs will serve as a stage for the development of the students’ creative production. The new infrastructure represents a 50% increase in the Campus’ land area and, within this space, two soccer fields, five multi-sports courts, laboratories, and ateliers will be available for student learning.
To close the evening, a Maracatu parade took the families on a tour of the new High School building, where they could see the facilities up close. It the end, a cocktail party was held to celebrate Beacon’s future.
