We officially welcomed the year 2020 in a lecture that brought together the entire Beacon School team – employees from the pedagogical, administrative, and operational segments.
In an informal chat, lecturer Marina Klink talked about traveling, the pleasure of exploring nature, and the current lack of connection due to digital media.
The theme of sustainability also played a central role in her speech and reinforced the school’s work to be increasingly sustainable.
In addition, Marina led us to reflect on the adaptability of the human being and how we have to constantly reinvent ourselves, a practice that comes up against the current discussions about the future, the dimensions and values of our school, and the IB philosophy.
In the end, just like Marina, we are all in the same boat together, trying to make Beacon the best school for our students.
