Fifth graders (Y5) performed their Primary Years Program (PYP) presentation during the Exhibition 2018. This was a rite of passage towards the Middle School program.
This trajectory began with the Passion Journey, in which teachers encouraged students to think about subjects of their interest, their doubts and their passions. Divided according to their chosen themes, the students welcomed their parents at school to share their choices and, then, went on to fully participate in a Unit of Inquiry and in its creation.
The entire process included planning, bibliographical research, interview with specialists, writing, and a seminar. The chosen themes were: Sports Health; Sports for All; Football Union; Trash is our Responsibility; S.O.S. Ocean Life; Bonding with Music; Smile Rescue, Pets We Care, Video or Game; and Brazil is Strong, Brazil is Beautiful, Brazil is Ours.
The final step was a presentation, attended by students from other grades, parents, teachers, and staff.
