EdtechFest: Teachers Attend Digital Tools Workshops

Bearing in mind the development of its educational team, Beacon organized its first EdTechFest, a new approach to nurture the teachers’ knowledge regarding digital tools.

The project took place during the faculty team’s week of professional development and had eight workshops that approached technology in the educational context. With more than 100 participants, the initiative brought improvements for teachers – both structural  and knowledge-based – and also new opportunities and innovations in the EdTech field.

At first, the workshops aimed to enchant the teachers and foster their personal learning using direct techniques – such as video-editing classes; and playful techniques – such as the use of virtual-reality glasses. Later, there was an opportunity to bring teachers and students closer by building new activities and possibilities with the use of technology.

After all, a teacher who sparks the interest of students in reading is definitely a good reader; just as a teacher who has groundbreaking ideas with the use of technology must have in-depth knowledge of this universe. For this reason, the faculty is always seeking knowledge and optimization of their work inside the classroom.
