Aides and inspectors, together with the operational team, took part in a 5-hour training program with specialist in public health Damaris Maranhão.
The professional development offered by Beacon aimed at identifying what makes a school a health-promoting environment and how we can prevent outbreaks of diseases and their complications.
The professionals clarified doubts regarding the change of diapers, hygiene of surfaces and toys, cleaning up different environments, the need for ventilation, and correct hand washing.
This was an enriching time of knowledge and sharing, which reflects the value that Beacon assigns to the well-being of its students and professionals.
Damaris holds a PhD in Health Sciences, a master’s degree in Pediatric Nursing, and is a Specialist in Public Health from USP. She is also a teacher at Instituto Superior de Educação Vera Cruz and the author of articles and book chapters on health in schools.
