Last Friday, May 26, Beacon School hosted the third edition of its Career Day, an event that brings together families of students from our school and professionals from renowned institutions to guide students in their search for their future careers. The event was aimed at Year 9 and High School students and featured several lectures and workshops.
Beacon students had the opportunity to learn about different career possibilities and how they relate to their interests and skills. Career Day was attended by professionals from different fields, such as Journalism, Investment, Medicine, Law, and Audiovisual, among many others. The lectures, conversation rounds, and workshops approached the career path of each professional, the context of the institution where they work, the choice of profession, and the current job market.
The workshops were very important to help Beacon students deal with their pre-college anxiety and the transition from high school to college. The Career Day was a success and provided a better insight into the various career possibilities.
