Beacon’s Ethical Coexistence program, in partnership with Convivere +, began the semester with actions aimed at combating bullying. The topic has been approached in studies and constant discussions between the management and coordination group, educators and students at the school. However, it is necessary that the entire school community participates and agrees with the same project.
The teacher José Avillez participated in conversations about the topic with families and also with all of our employees. During the training week in July, we reinforced our studies to understand which paths we should follow, addressing the interpersonal conflicts that happen both among students and also among co-workers in the workplace, as well as issues related to bullying and cyberbullying, very latent nowadays.
Based on a group reflection, we identified the characteristics of each type of conflict, the moment they occur, and what preventive actions can and should be taken. Through these actions, Beacon has strengthened its position as a training school that cares not only about its teaching staff, but also about employees from all segments, aiming at an ever greater unity when putting its mission and values into practice.
