We are happy to announce that Beacon Campus architectural project received another award, winning the 7th Saint-Gobain Architecture Award: Sustainable Habitat in the institutional building category.
The event, which has already awarded over 200 projects since its first edition in 2013, aims to recognize the best projects with focus on comfort, innovation and sustainability. The award also encourages the use of innovative technologies and solutions and the correct specification of products and construction processes.
The proposal developed for the Beacon Campus is based on the idea of fully taking advantage of the heritage built in an old industrial neighborhood and then introducing new elements capable of accommodating specific activities of the school, thus enabling students to develop their education in a place where they feel comfortable.
All the elements were built with light industrial components, seeking to create a contrast to counterbalance the existing warehouses, thus establishing a connection between the pre-existing and the new.
Beacon is proud of the achievement and congratulates Andrade Morettin and GOAA (Gusmão Otero Arquitetos Associados) for the development and involvement regarding the conception and creation of the Campus!
