Sixth-grade (Y6) students design a logo for Sustainability.

Sustainability is a very important value for Beacon, and in an effort to engage students in activities related to this theme, we organized a competition with the goal of creating a logo that, in their perspective, captured the spirit of sustainability within our school.

Students from Y1 to Y12 were invited to use their creativity to design logos in various ways, which were later presented to the school administration.

It was the drawing created by students Maya, Rafaela, and Stela from Y6D that stood out because, according to them, it represented Beacon embracing the planet and, in their words, “shows that Beacon cares about sustainability.”

They mentioned that it was quite challenging to get the result just the way they wanted it on paper, and once it was completed, they decided to digitize the drawing themselves because they understood that it was necessary for it to be used as a logo!

The young students were surprised and extremely proud to see the drawing they had created together chosen as the representative symbol of sustainability at the school from now on. Congratulations!
