Beacon’s Counselor visits IACAC

Our University and Career Counselor, Lucas de Sousa, attended the Annual Conference of the International Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) at Florida International University. This event brings together counselors and representatives from universities around the world. IACAC promotes international interaction between counselors and institutions, supporting students in their transition to higher education. This event is crucial for the professional development of individuals in the field and helps our school connect with higher education entities in the US, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Asia.

During the conference, our counselor also visited the campuses of various institutions, such as the University of Miami and the Istituto Marangoni Miami. This allows us to know and offer a comprehensive range of university options for Beacon students worldwide, including those in Brazil. With the IB curriculum and the first graduating class from high school in 2023, Beacon is increasingly coming to the attention of prestigious universities. The visit to IACAC helps the school expand its network of contacts and even enhances events like the Career Day and U-Day.

IACAC comprises more than 3,000 professionals from over 90 countries worldwide, dedicated to assisting students in their search for and selection of a university. The association is committed to maintaining high standards that promote ethical and social responsibility among those involved in the transition process from basic to higher education.
