G3 teacher launches her second book and income will be donated to social action

By Bruna Cronfli

Caroline Blaj, G3 teacher (3-year-old students), launched her second children’s book, by the publisher Tigrito. The publicist and educator, who has liked to write since she was a little girl, created “A Fantástica Fábrica de Fazer Sonhos” thinking of all the curious kids she met during her 13 years of professional career in Early Childhood Education. The author used a special dose of inspiration: her children, Sofia and Benjamin.

“A Fantástica Fábrica de Fazer Sonhos” tells the story of a very curious boy, who was willing to go without sleep to find out once and for all how dreams arise inside his mind. Will he be able to unravel this mystery?

The book was illustrated by Gabriela Gil, illustrator and illustration teacher, who works with books, magazines, publications for children. Gabriela has a degree in Visual Arts from UNESP and a postgraduate degree in Graphic Design from FAAP, where she specialized in children’s books and visual storytelling.

“I was always a very curious child and loved to know how things worked. Many of them, I discovered myself. But one that no one could ever answer, not even the books, was: how do dreams arise inside our heads? I was very intrigued, but as time went by, I let it go. When I finished my degree in Publicity and went to work at a school, I once again found that curiosity in the eyes of someone who is unveiling a new world. Little by little I reactivated my creativity and my worries. When my children were born, just curious, I decided to write this story!”, says the author.

The income from the sales will be donated to the Lar das Crianças (Children’s Home), which helps more than 440 children and young people, from 4 years old up to their professional referral, coming from socially vulnerable families, after school. “After all, all children deserve to dream!” says Caroline.

The teacher’s first book was “Pirata o Vira-lata”, click here to know more.
