The 9th graders (Y9) finished another stage of their school journey. Graduation is the symbol of a closure marked by growth, learning, friendship, trust, collaboration, adaptation, and commitment.
It was a thrilling event, marked by the feeling of longing. Because these students were the pioneers in this journey, many moments were remembered and revived, besides the new ones that were created.
Director Vera Nicol Giusti opened the ceremony by introducing each of the students and talking about their pedagogical trajectory. Soon after, our students presented a video that they created with the help of art teacher Matheus Giavarotti, in which they sing the song ‘Everybody Knows’, showing a little of the school routine.
The evening was filled with musical performances that the students had prepared and rehearsed over the past few months. To complete this breathtaking moment, we also had teachers and staff members honored, and a testimony full of love and affection from coordinator Américo dos Santos.
To close the event, directors Maria Eduarda Sawaya and Audrey Peverelli spoke about the importance of this group and the path taken so far. Maria Eduarda also highlighted the performance, teamwork, and empathy of both students and the entire Beacon Community throughout this challenging year.
“Drummond’s time is based on memory; in a few years you will talk with your friends and tell them about the time when you were studying, you will remember the school, the place or the places: Berlioz, Padre Pereira, Campus. These are sacred places. We are under construction every day, with many beautiful things, with a lot of growth, a lot of overcoming, a lot of achievement, and, above all, a lot of learning. You learned not only the curricular content but also learned lessons from the difficulties and challenges faced,” extracted from teacher Diego Doze’s speech, keynote speaker of the class.
Congratulations! High School: here they go!
