Beacon Games: first interscholastic championship is a success

Beacon held its first interscholastic championship, the Beacon Games. This year, Futsal and Soccer were  played.

The event took place at the Campus and was attended by eight partner schools – Escola Granja Viana, Colégio Santa Clara, Colégio Sidarta, Colégio Rio Branco, St. Nicholas School, Escola da Vila, Colégio Santa Cruz, and Escola Castanheiras. It was a 6-day interscholastic championship aiming at providing pleasurable moments of sports practice, based on principles of educational sport and fostering social exchange among different institutions.

Players were able to strengthen the ethical training of respect for the rules and the others (opponents, referees, teachers, staff members, and the public), enhance sportsmanship, cooperation, and collectivity, practice healthy life habits through sports, and establish an identity bond between the student and the school.

Medals were given to all athletes/students who attended the event and up to two members of the coaching staff. During the event, we counted on the participation and energy of our Community, cheering for Beacon and supporting our athletes of Optional Activities!
