Sports Festival 2021

By Bruna Cronfli

The Sports Festival is annually celebrated to promote the practice of physical activities, focusing on strengthening values such as dialogue, group living and mutual respect.

Traditionally, families are invited to watch the games, participate in moments such as awarding medals, besides celebrating the practice of games and sports. Adapting to the pandemic, this year, the Sports Festival was aimed only at students, but the scores were released daily so that parents and students could follow the performance of the teams.

A week before the event, the teams divided thoughts about the physical and emotional development of each one and each series and won a shirt in the color of their team – in yellow, red and blue. Respecting the health protocols, the teams were restricted between the room itself, that is, their own bubbles.

Another great new this year was the participation of the G5 and G6 groups (5 years and 6 years). The children played “Arruma e Desarruma” and Ball War during the Body and Movement classes. They learned about the importance of rules and the opponent, developing respect for others, caring for their own bodies and other people’s bodies.

The Elementary School and Middle School groups competed in some sports, such as Volleyball, Basketball, Handball and Football, besides the traditional team games, such as DodgeBall, Capture the Flag and Base.

The Sports Festival promoted moments to chill, animation and a lot of learning. Sport plays an important role in the physical and emotional development of students and is an integral and fundamental part of the school curriculum.
