As part of the Unit of Inquiry “Let’s Play”, the G4 groups (4 years old) went on a field trip to Museu da Imaginação. The children had the opportunity to explore several educational play proposals that promote collectivity, learning, and fun.
Before the trip, the students were invited to think about the different forms that play can take and, mostly, the role of others in this process of having fun. As they developed an understanding of this collective character, they also discussed the importance of their classmates in the process, understanding that they too have their needs and limits. Another provocation was related to the materials used in the games. The reflection allowed the students to conclude that they can have fun even in the absence of toys, using, for example, the nature around them.
The museum offers a series of environments with the proposal of uniting the various areas of knowledge with play. Furthermore, integration, collectivity, and contact between them were other aspects worked on in the interactive spaces. Through ludic activities, they enjoyed sensory experiences, thus putting into practice what they had seen in the classroom.
