Early Childhood Education teachers hold a virtual meeting with parents

It was with great joy that Beacon resumed online classes, after a school break. We are still looking forward to our on-site return, but in the meantime, we welcome our students with great affection and willingness, giving continuity to the Distance Learning journey.

For this reason, we decided to invite families of Early Childhood Education to a special meeting, the “Open Talks”. In order to further strengthen the school-family partnership, we have prepared some topics for a chat with parents, and also important information for the return of activities.

Beacon remains committed to have an active listening and, given the considerations related to the first months of online classes, we rethought strategies, platforms, schedules and ways to ensure a more assertive communication.

During the meeting, teachers addressed topics such as the areas of knowledge and how they are interwoven with the Units of Inquiry, the importance of routine and space in moments of social distancing, guidelines to help parents mediate investigation during play, among others. It was also a place to listen to parents and make adjustments according to the families’ routine.

The Open Talks were moments of very rich exchanges! We are sure that children will continue to benefit from the activities offered. We remain open and motivated and reaffirming our values.
