Early Childhood Children Receive Investigative Kits

The pedagogical team has carefully prepared Investigative Kits designed for each age group of Early Childhood Education, including some of the activities proposed and sent to children through the Seesaw online education platform. In this way, Beacon intends to take a little of our school into each home and bring students, families, and teachers together in this very challenging moment.

Exploring is movement, a thought that materializes in actions. Actions have great importance during the discovery process. After all, discovering is looking for and connecting with and in the environment. So is exploration, the experience that adds unique meanings to each repetition made by the child. To explore is to discover meaning in the choices; investigate the mysteries of the materials that we find daily around us, including in and for itself the possibilities of looking at the situations that permeate our daily lives.

In all its potential, the child transforms, for example, a cardboard box into a spaceship. It is necessary to plan inviting spaces to sharpen the marvelous imagination of being a child. Therefore, we want to promote the possibility of expanding this exploration repertoire.

The Investigative Kit intends to favor the expansion and perception of the children’s imagination, protagonists of this doing. We want to get even closer to this from these items, including part of each home’s pedagogical universe. Opening paths for the child to manifest its “self” in the world is necessary. To explore is to individualize experiences.
