We are pleased to announce the Berlioz Unit’s renovation and reformulation to receive the G1 and G3 children. It is a joy for the school to go back to what our first unit was. The Villa will host groups from G4 to G5, totaling two branches in Alto de Pinheiros specially designed for Early Childhood Education. The Campus in Vila Leopoldina will be exclusively dedicated to G6, Elementary, Middle, and High School.
Beacon’s space conception and idealization basic premise is the idea of an environment centered on the student, reflecting essential elements of the school’s culture, inviting the construction of relationships, and promoting the meeting of all of those in the school. It is an educational environment composed of spaces for experimentation, inventiveness, and exploration. Plurality and appreciation for the individual knowledge construction process also guide the school space’s organization, appropriate for each age group and flexible to its students’ demands.
At Berlioz, each space will compose multiple sets of resources available to the child as a discovery station. With learning, reading, personal work, and art centers, the classroom will encourage individual and group research. The artistic expression studio will be a laboratory for creation and exploration; parks will be an invitation to motor challenges; and the library will open up like a spaceship, allowing children to travel through the world of literature.
There is no vacancy increase in this new project. We believe that concentrating Early Childhood Education in units closer to each other and having a space dedicated to young children (G1 and G3) will benefit the students’ routine.
