Beacon Teen Talks: Live with Thiago Tamborini on careers and future

Our third Beacon Talks meeting on Instagram @beacon.school took a very special approach. The idea of this teen edition was to bring the teenagers closer to talk about the future, career choices, and skills that need to be developed. To speak with the teenagers – and their relatives – we invited Tiago Tamborini, a clinical psychologist, a career counselor, and  an expert in child and adolescent behavior.

The meeting was mediated by director Luciana Leite, responsible for interacting with the guest and asking him questions sent by the audience. Tiago started the conversation by encouraging everyone present to think about the future; since the world will move on after the pandemic, we have to be prepared. One hour later, the parents and the teenagers asked pertinent questions about the subject, such as what can influence the career choice and how to deal with the pressure of this moment. The psychologist encouraged the audience to act with responsibility when choosing and researching what they want to learn. He also explained how to develop skills, such as proactivity, creativity, and others, relevant to life and the professional field.
