Beacon’s EdTech coordinator takes part in an article published by Estadão

“School managers and professionals have been faced with a major new challenge over the last year: how to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, such as ChatGPT, into the teaching routine? Some teachers saw the tool as a threat to the quality of learning, but little by little institutions and teachers themselves are trying to incorporate the technology.

Edtech coordinator at Beacon School, explains that at the beginning of 2023, the school began a process of ongoing training with teachers on generative AI models, such as ChatGPT. 

According to her, the school has drawn up a guiding document for the application of new technologies, but the intention is for teachers to use them according to their needs. “Banning would be the wrong way to go. The solution is to use the tools in a guided and ethical way.”
