Beacon is recognized as a candidate for the Diploma Program-IB

It is with great pleasure that Beacon School announces its approval to be a candidate for the Diploma Programme – IB. The program, which is planned to begin in 2021, aims to develop students’ multiple skills. How to have excellent ,0 and depth of knowledge and flourish in a physical, intellectual, emotional and ethical way.

The process has been under development for over a year, with investments in IB training courses for the faculty team, focused on each area of knowledge. As soon as this step is completed, an IB consultant will visit the school to verify if all predefined criteria are being followed and, after approval, Beacon will begin the program certification process.

An increase in the quality of education is expected, including the criteria required by the Ministry of Education in Brazil, together with the study of other languages. Each student will have the possibility of studying at least three subjects at Higher Levels and the other at a Standard Level, besides the development of social programs.

At the end of the course, students can use their grades to be considered in several renowned universities, both in Brazil and abroad. The process guarantees an advantage to the student who enrolls at national universities. For universities abroad, it would be necessary to do an interview, present the average grades and a recommendation letter from the school.
