Dear Families,

Welcome to Beacon School Admission Process!

We are delighted and proud to begin the 2024 school year, marking the graduation of our first graduates, completing the High School and IB Diploma Programme (DP), thus being well-prepared for Higher Education, either in Brazil or abroad.

A school in constant evolution, Beacon became an IB Continuum School, offering the continuum of International Baccalaureate (IB) programs - Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP), in synergy with our Brazilian identity, a central element of the school's pedagogical proposal.

In our admissions process, we aim to identify families who share our values and are committed to contributing to the school community, as well as students whose profiles are aligned with our academic requirements.

Our student body is composed of both Brazilian and international students. Therefore, enrollment requests are received throughout the school year according to the grade level's availability, and made effective at the beginning of each semester.

Beacon School
Commitment to Racial Equity and Diversity

The Admission Process and our Jatobá Program

A school that believes that differences expand opportunities for the development of the individual and society and understanding and respecting other cultures helps create a better and more peaceful world.

…Beacon trains open-minded students: who understand and appreciate their own culture, personal history, and identity and are flexible to other individuals and other communities’ perspectives and traditions. They seek and evaluate different points of view, always willing to grow with the new experience. ”
Extracts from the Beacon School Pedagogical Project

In our admission process, we seek families committed to their responsibility to the community and the transformation of the society that surrounds them.

We believe that coexistence in a plural environment enriches the individual’s formation, contributes to broadening the view of the world and developing empathy, and enhancing individual and collective learning. The plurality of families and students, teachers, and staff characterizes a Beacon community that celebrates differences and learns from them. Thus, we seek to compose a group of children and young people of different nationalities, religions, races, and various social and economic standards.

With our Jatobá Program, we offer quality education to students from the public school system with talent and determination, aiming to enrich the Beacon school community and expand its views, points of view, and diversity.

Therefore, we count on the new Beacon families to support this initiative. The financial contribution becomes important to increase diversity in the school and collaborate with our social responsibility.

We invite the new students to contribute with the scholarship fund by making a direct payment to the Beacon Institute in the suggested amount of R$2,000 to R$5,000. Our main goal is to increase the number of scholarships offered by the school.
