Beacon School is aware of its social responsibility and promotes the involvement of its students in the surrounding community. Students who become involved with the community are open to the differences among people and are aware of the need to act on behalf of others.
The teachers are also part of the Beacon community. The school is aware of the difference a good teacher can make in the life of a student and promotes activities to create a working environment that is pleasant, challenging and respectful, and where good performance is recognized.
Beacon School believes its environment must mirror an essential set of attitudes – appreciation, commitment, confidence, cooperation, creativity, curiosity, empathy, enthusiasm, independence, integrity, respect and tolerance – that contribute to the development of the attributes and values of its students.
